Reblogging for two reasons. One, because two advice points are enormously le relevant for me.
Two. To the Anon with the Home Invasion. (1.9, before 2. Luka, THANK YOU for putting up this Anon. I have heard SO MANY PEOPLE who argue it takes weeks or months to cause PTSD. Not true. Rape, anyone?)
Hi, Anon, I got some super immediate PTSD myself, sleeping was really crap, and feeling safe was a major issue. I’ve found that a white noise machine really helped calm me. It sort of created a mental space that glossed over the tension. Tea. Tea solves many things. Baths. Aromatherapy oils. Neroli has been shown to create happy brain chemicals. Vanilla is a universal cure-all for stress. Lavender and chamomile are standard. Mint works on a lot of people. I’m all homeopathic, yo. But do call the line, just having someone to chatter at can unload a lot of the static in your brain. So sorry to hear about the home bust. I hope you get your calm back soon.
[It’s still monday somewhere, right?
